Hello Everyone,
Hope you are doing well!!
We are pleased to announce launch of two new products on 121Doc.
We have launched Levonelle and ellaOne for the treatment of Emergency Contraception.
Emergency Contraceptive Pill – This is also known as "Morning after pill". They are used to prevent pregnancy if you have had unprotected sex or if you have experienced contraceptive failure.
Levonelle – This is an emergency contraceptive, and is most commonly known as ‘the morning after pill’. It is effective for up to 3 days (72 hours) after you have unprotected sex or have experienced contraceptive failure, and is proven to be 85% effective at preventing pregnancy. It is however, most effective during the first 24 hours after unprotected intercourse. Levonelle One Step is suitable for women over the age of 16 to take.
ellaOne – This is a new emergency contraceptive that can prevent against pregnancy for up to 5 days (120 hours) after sex. It’s thought to be 98% effective at preventing pregnancy, because only 2 in every 100 women who take the medication became pregnant during clinical trials. Although effective for longer than Levonelle, it is still more effective the sooner you take it.
