Is it just me, or are internet sales WAY DOWN from last year on all fronts?
Is it because:
A) Housing Market Scare
B) Possible Recession Scare
C) Gas Prices
D) Political Tactics and the Media

Mine are only WAY DOWN over the last 2 months.

Yes, I'd say the last 2 months do not add up to what last year's numbers did.

I think Clive had also pointed this out.
Google was at fault, but again, during the past 2 months.
OP sales should only increase, I don't see any reason why we should witness a global reduction in sales.

Same thing here.
I'm an HSN affiliate who is seeing a noticeable slump (esp. in the last couple months). Oddly enough though, my results/site stats have improved. Weird.

mybe this is anomaly but we see big grow from month to month
don't forget that US is not the only OP market.

Nov is often slow, but the 2 month fall in sales is a combination of factors, Google dance, consumer confidence. The good news is that we usually see increasing activity in December with a further lift in January.

I see increasing sales now... im guessing it's still pretty slow due to Christmas, everyone spending $ on presents and what not instead of meds.
Just my 3 cents :)

X-MAS like any Holiday, slows things up...Not becasue people spend their $ elswhere but because they go on vacation, away from their PC and don't pay that much attention to it.
BUT, things do pick up right after...
In our experience, year after year the tide acts the same...
Slows down during Holidays, picks up early Jan... Some spikes in between.
God i feel like the weatherman...
now everyone will hate me if things don't pick up in January :D
BTW...
Merry X-Mas and Happy New Year to everyone here...

Yes holidays as well are a big factor. I've definitely been experiencing some spikes :)
Merry X-mas to all and happy new year.
PS. Sam - keep up the great work.

No. Infact, I have noticed quite the contrary. Many more orders coming in :)

Yes. Consumers are definitely second guessing themselves when they're in the cart. Everyone's talking recession but that usually involves consumers AND businesses. Sure, employment rate is okay, but pay rates have remained the same as consumer costs have gone up.
I think it's a new kind of "consumer" recession our economy has not seen before. That's because our economy was never used to cell phone bills for kids, must have high speed internet, all channel cable tv, text horoscopes, etc.
Add to that the huge number of mortgage owners who were on a Variable rate that jumped up 1 to 2% on a mortgage that they most likely couldn't already afford. The lending crisis not able to accommodate those with bad credit for the lower interest rate; thus they're screwed. GAS prices which will NEVER go down while commutes to work are getting longer. Add to that wages (across all classes) that have remained the same for endless years.
Bottom Line: Society has lived way beyond it's means for a LONG time, the economic whip has snapped, and it has finally caught up with everyone. People can't afford to buy SHIT and they're finally realizing it.

Anyone owning an affiliate program or who solicits for a down-line will always tell you otherwise ;)

Oh nothing personal :D It's just you can't trust anyone with a possible agenda, kind of like our politicians these days.
I'm still driving sales, and it has picked up per season's sake, but compared to last year there is DEFINITELY a huge drop.

That is correct...From my experience, Jan, Feb, March are good months.
April to August are the slower ones...
Overall our people have seen several points increase in conversion since 2008 started.

Hey Newbius...You know that Jan, Feb, MArch are good months...this is the season, like you say.
Compared with last year, well things are not what they used to be...Let's not even compare with 3 years ago!
But an affilaite should not see a drop in conversions now. On the contrary. I hope you agree.

Hi, Sam,
I joined your Program. I need your approval. Someone told me you can give a higher commision. Can you do that for me ?
My best selling drug is not in your website, but I can promote your products by SEO.

Want to stay sales slump proof and keep the waters boiling?
Check with the pharmacy you promote. Other exogenous factors might play a key role but once you get the traffic coming it should convert 7/365
