Nothing that I am aware of. As far as i know, controlled meds are completely gone from escripts.

FWIW I believe a new model is being developed. For eg one of the UK suppliers has the medication available. However you have to fill in a form providing information about your condition (You are unable to buy the drug at this stage) The doctor reviews the form and emails you back saying ok for your condition this drug would be a solution and do you want the URL to buy it? If the patient says yes he gets a sales URL. Theoretically this establishes a relationship and removes the element of choice of drug thereby theoretically controlling the sale and the prescription process better.

I think that access to the med records is also a good way to work this problem.

Insurance companies request med records everyday for underwriters to approve insurance apps. Granted, some dr's offices charge unless it is the patient requesting directly.

I agree and no sense in changing everything, none of us know for sure how this will play out,it may very well prove to be better for all of us,gotta think positive......the future may not be doom and gloom,we will just have to ride the wave for nowsmileys/smiley4.gif

This might just be positive thinking smileys/smiley1.gif , but this whole thing might NOT be exactly what it seems.

I might be mistaken but just going from the press releases, doesn't USA and EVA and maybe escripts have the same lawyer? In light of the recent Rx Network case, he might have told USA to pull its controlleds until the court case as a show of "good faith." And if EVA has the same lawyer, he would give the same advice. If you don't listen to your lawyer, the one who will represent you, then you are silly (even if it will cost you millions) Meanwhile, they are probably looking for (or already have) a loophole that will allow them to resell controlleds in 2004 again.

Other OPs based outside of Florida, probably have different lawyers with a different opinion. So they are told there is no reason to stop selling controlleds. Afterall, there have been no rulings on anything yet.

I bet USA feels pretty confident on winning the case. If they didn't, why voluntarily pull meds instead of letting it ride until they are TOLD to stop. They will lose millions of dollars and thousands of customers from now to the court case.

I believe there will always be merchants selling controlleds, affiliates outside the us (and in it) who will will promote them, and ultimately, the risk will be 100% on the customer (which many will probably assume as they do now importing from canada, mexico, etc.). As much as it would like to, the DEA does not rule the world.

Yeah you missed my question here: http://rxaffiliateforum.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1248&PN= (http://rxaffiliateforum.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1248&PN=1) 1

Who will be the first to come up with a new business model that will operate within all state laws ( port a med visit, nure visit etc.) and when will this model be up and running?

My best guess is usa, escripts, EVA than IHC and the others. I'm basing this on what I perceive to be the deep pockets as well as longevity in the industry. As far as time goes, I'd say it will be after the final USAP court decision.
