What is up with Google?

When I look for 'Phentermine'... This is Number 2 Spot...

http://cheap-phentermine.web4u.gb.com

But PR for Page is Grey Bar...Banned/Penalized?

When I check Links - link:http://cheap-phentermine.web4u.gb.com there are none... Also appears to have no page links other than to a few other pharmacy's...

What is up with Google? Anyone have ideas or thoughts?

Or when is MSN going to overtake them? Or will they?

Merle

Don't forget to mention the ten pop-up windows you get when you open the site!

My guess is that google don't take too much care of some industries.

Last month was a 10 top position for a site in "online pharmacy" withPR0 and zero links.

By the way I have had some drops in my PR .

The same for some others sites linking with me.

Someone facing the same ?

I think another big dance is on the way as the whole pack gets reshuffled.

I went from a PR7 to PR 0 - back to PR3 now...

My understanding is there has be a few dances done with garbage results... Googleneeds dancing lessons I think...

My thought are that MSN will slowly crawl up in use... Especially when they do their big bundle the option with products move.

Does anyone know a site which tracks the search engine use by users... ie: users used Yahoo most in past, now Google... etc...

No. But some of the info you request is available in the newsletters of some SEO companies.

I've had similar issues with Google...

I don't know if they've "red flagged" certain prescription drug sites or what... but I have several PR4 and PR5 sites that are nowhere to be found! Last year before the big update I was ranking well for all my targeted terms. Now my sites are gone! For the past year I've had NO TRAFFIC from Google (Thank God for MSN and Yahoo!).

I thought I was in the so-called "sandbox", but these sites are all well-established. I've tried EVERYTHING over the past year to get my positions back. I thought maybe my sites were excessively cross-linked and removed all links between my sites. I've examined and altered my backlinks, changed on-page factors, added more content, etc., etc., etc. My PR has even went up since the last update, but no listings! For a couple months I showed up on the 19th and 20th page! But even those are gone now!

I wish someone had some GOOD ANSWERS!

I think you may be onto something there. I had a similar problem with my sites... excessively cross-linked. Unfortunately, I used the website of the company (with a PR of 6) that I work at to cross link to my "side business" sites. (I also design their website) Now, the website of the company that I work at is nowhere to be found on Google. I don't think Google is targeting pharmacy sites... I think they may be targeting excessively cross-linked sites. I really screwed my employer's website... their web sales are down by half.

I agree that excessive cross-linking is a problem...

But I doubt cross-linking between my sites would have been considered "excessive". At most, I had2-3 links pointing from one site to another. And they only had several links because the topics on some of pages were similar. I didn't havea link on everypage (which would definitely be excessive!). I only removed the links because I tried everything else, and nothing worked.

Besides, I removed all these links 5-6 months ago! If that was the problem, my listings would be back by now...

IN SUMMARY: Google sucks!

Page Rank?

I prefer the concept of these guys www.honestlinks.com (http://www.honestlinks.com)

It is to build a Directory without regards of GooglePR.

I have a PR3 site with 600 Links .

There are PR3 sites out there with 4,000 links.

May you explain this?

Content is important too for SEO.
You can have 10K links back.. with no content it means nothing..
I think that G loves more content than links.

You need to perfectly combine these two things Content & Links.

You may follow all the linking manuals.

They will drop your Rank at any time unless you are a very big dog.
