View Full Version : Update on DEA Suspension of License

Dear Valued USAP Affiliates:

It's important to keep you abreast of any new information regarding our industry. As you know, last Wednesday (Oct. 22), as a result of an investigation, the DEA suspended the license of Rx Network. On Friday, (Oct. 24), our top-notch legal counsel filed suit against the DEA in Federal court. This aggressive move is a proactive response to the DEA's assertion that Rx Network illegally dispensed prescription medication.

This Motion for Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction can be read in full at http://www.RxNetwork.com (http://www.rxnetwork.com/) and is the first step in our newest battle. We expect a ruling today or tomorrow.

As always, I will keep you posted regarding any new developments. Any questions can be directed to me at Bryan@METAbility.com.

That's why these guys are the sh*t! They take action and care about the industry. I'll promote them anyday instead of EVA, who could care less about affiliates.

USAP, METABryan; many thanks for your proactive stance and updating us. Even though I am not an affiliate of you guys I greatly appreciate what you are doing.

That is the way to go after the DEA, they enforce the laws - not make the laws. Hope it works out.

The document makes for very positive reading...

The points made seem to provide clarity on the definition between law and guidance....

METABryan, I called several times and the only deal I could get was 20 + 10% - that is not worth it for someone who does about 2,500 weekly.

medstar

That is orders not commission.

Thanks for keeping us updated. It's good to see that at least one OP has the cojones to take on the FEDS who are so clearly overstepping their legal bounds.

Please keep us abreast of the case.

Medstar-

Who did you talk to when you called? I have been the only AD at USAP forthree years.Perhaps we've talked in the past, but I don't recall it. I'm sure I would remember talking withsomeone with that volume (and they would be promoting USAP). smileys/smiley2.gif

METABryan, I called the general number. Just regular customer service folks answered. I asked to speak to a manager or someone who could give a better deal than 20 + 10% and they said there was no-one else. That is beside the point right now. I am comfortable where I am at for now. Good luck with your court battles.

I've wondered how many sales an affiliate would need to pull per week to get a "Private Label" or "Partner" type site with USAP?

2500 wasn't the magic number, rxmary, I'm definitely out! smileys/smiley19.gif

All-

In the interest of keeping this thread on topic, I ask that if you have any specific questions about our program, email me directly. I probably should not have commented on Medstar's post in this thread - rather, I should have PM'd him. However, I didn't want others to think I was ignoring the question/comment.

Sorry, will do.

Read through the Motion. Excellent!

Many of us around the forum have been speculating about alot of these issues, it's nice to see them addressed by your legal counsel, iteffectively shows to the courtwhat many of us believed - State laws [should] supercede the DEA's "Policy Statement".

Average of 357 orders PER DAY?! I just can't see how that is possible, much less believe it. But hey, more power to you if you are. You have my respect. smileys/smiley16.gif

Bid position one on google and Overture for all meds like MedMan, you can have that many orders too RxRob. Prolly wouldn't make as much as you do now, I don't think. smileys/smiley3.gif

I;ve heard some of the big guys do 100/day, so medstar must be the master affiliate.

redex
October 27th, 2003, 11:26 AM
I heard more like 700-800 ORDERS a day, 100 a day isn't sh*t for those with good SE placement and top PPC bids.

Brian is being good enough to keep us updated. Let's not completely F up his post :) Maybe we should start a new topic.

Greg
October 27th, 2003, 07:14 PM
I think he's saying $2,500 gross, rather than $2,500 net to him. Only medstar knows the answer. smileys/smiley14.gif

2500 orders

MedMan
October 27th, 2003, 08:38 PM
2500 orders a week? You're getting there! Keep it up.

BTW, I try to stay away from #1. Too many click, not enough sales. #3 or #4are the best positions. That's where you get your money's worth. smileys/smiley2.gif

Now, let's not have everyone start trying to take my positions dammit! Cause I'll outbid you and I'll win, lol!

Greg

2500 orders

Read what he said again:

"That is orders not commission."

He left one little word out. "That is inorders not commission."

Why would he need to distinguish between 2,500 orders/week and 2,500 commissions/week?

2,500 orders per week is way more money than $2500. He clearly stated that 2500 means order not commission
