This is not cloaking. You may be having a penalty for duplicate content or may be not. Takethat other/new domain offline for a few days/weeks to see what happens.
Also it will be interesting to see if your toolbar is now grey or white and is there any backlink appearing in the results when you check your backlinks for original domain with google toolbar?
OTOH it is likely that your PR3 page was PR3 because of a single or very few links and google simply stopped counting those links and hence your PR dropped to 0. It happens all the time.

Ok ... now is where i'm going to sound like a dumba$$ http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_13.gif

I just figured out today that i could check my backlinks with the google toolbar. smileys/smiley8.gif This is a nice feature! Too bad I didn't know about it a while ago. http://www.realitypress.com/img/grlol.gif
My toolbar is white. http://www.realitypress.com/img/dep.gif I was hoping for gray but no such luck. I did take the other domain offline this morning.
Does anyone know if google did a crawl (or whatever it is they do) this weekend? I use a couple sites for checking stats and PR and things like that ... free tools. In less than a day google showed that I had a mirror site. I'm guessing it only takes a day to screw up a site in the search engines, but it will probably be months before I get this fixed, huh?
How many links does it take to get a PR3? I got a couple more this weekend before I went to a 0 http://www.realitypress.com/img/cry.gif
Thanks for the help, phalaris. smileys/smiley1.gif You want a gmail invite?

>>>You want a gmail invite?
Oh, yes. A gmail invite is more than welcome. Please PM me one sign up URL. I don't have any Gmail account yet.
>>>My toolbar is white.
Most likely you'll be back, if toolbar is white and it is showing no backlinks.
>>>How many links does it take to get a PR3?
1 or 2 good PR4 links are more than enough for a PR4.
>>>I got a couple more this weekend before I went to a 0
Those new links may be from bad neighborhoods. Check the sites from where you got new links for obvious underhand techniques like hidden text, cloaking etc. but don't worry about it too much. Just wait and watch.

Robin,
here are a couple sites that may shed some light on it for you:
http://www.webworkshop.net/pagerank_calculator.php3
http://www.iprcom.com/papers/pagerank/
They pretty well bring the method out. The one thing that stands out here is the only common thread. If your page rank hinges solely on linking strategy, it could change over night with a slight change in the PR algorithm. However, if you are one of the few fortunate individuals who can really create and maintain first class, constantly changing content, you will end up with a PR that will climb and pretty much stay there for the long haul.
Good luck Robin!
