I lost my ass on findwhat.com over the last couple days. In fact, every damned stock I own is in the red. smileys/smiley19.gif
Does anyone have the walnuts to buy into Google? I might short some, but I ain't going long!

I had a record month for earnings for all three business lines.
However, I cannot say the same for the stock market. I have lost as much in April on three stocks as I made in three businesses.
Not too good.

"Google reaps virtually all of its revenue from key-word advertising, which the company rolled out in 2002. "
How promising is this now that they are losing RX and casino ad dollars? How are they even profitable without this?

Excellent point. Also it pays to keep in mind that they're starting to keep in mind that they're starting to get some competition from the likes on Yahoo!
Quite frankly since the Florida update last December I find a lot of their results irrelevant and actively use other search engines. If Joe public catches on therecould betrouble. Anyone remember AltaVista or InfoSeek.

With the gmail launch disaster and their rediculous page rank system, they could very well be the next Alta Vista.
It seems like every day there are new trademark disputes also over PPC adwords style advertising. If this is there only source of revenue, as they indicate, this could be a company in decline.
Without any active 'members' like Yahoo! or MSN, I see little value to Google as Insanity indicated the searches are becoming less and less relevant, what other value is there?
I think Google knows that they are a company in decline and are taking this opportunity to get super rich before the public clues in to their earnings reports a year down the road without the RX and casino and other trademark banned keyword sales.
On the other hand Google hysteria could kill any short sellers, it is too unpredictable, I'm not going to touch this one.

That was funny as hell...LOL...loved it Redex !!
P.S. for those interested, once Google does the auction for opening bids, as typical in that situation, the initial opening share will usually drop after. Once MS and Yahoo go full bore, Google will have some competition. Invenstors will see possibly a further drop. Best advice, wait and see. Check out the usual business reports for the latest intel on this deal, compare form a dew different traders insight.... " The proof is in the pudding ".
