I have a friend making approx $500-1200 a day purely on pay per click advertising on findwhat. That is $500-1200 dollars Profit, not gross revenue. He has only been using findwhat. I have been reading all the horror stories on this forum about pretty much every ppc out there except google and overture. Are there any success stories out there for any PPC's.

Now that you revealed my secret to success on a public forum I am forced to expose yours:
http://www.maxban.com/search.html
Rxrob would be nothing without maxban and the 100+ sales a day he gets from there.smileys/smiley4.gif

I HONESTLY do not think that is possible, findhwat traffic is garbage for the most part
Ask him for some proof smileys/smiley4.gif

I have been using Findwhat for some time and I don't understand it. I get maybe a couple of orders a day ( if that ) yet I have another colleauge in the OP and he rakes in the big bucks using nothing but Findwhat. My pricing is just as competative as his ! Maybe there is a certain dollar limit you need to hit before they do some serious listing with other partners. It's got me stumped.
What do you folks honestly think of Looksmart and Pageseeker for US OP ?
Redex, your two cents on this post please ?

I used findwhat, I had a special link and could track it very easily. Put in $500, not 1 sale. I actually did have 1 decline though, I would never use them again, I tried them for other things and no success. I heard some people who had success using them, but now I am sure they work for findwhat because the traffic is garbage.

I've gotten sales from GoClick - but you have to bid low enough to stay out of their network. Once you hit that magic point, your money disappears pretty quickly. Sales are few an far between.
I did a lot of research before doing any PPC. I set up all my campaigns so that Icould figure out where sales came from before I started anything. I also tried various strategies.
I tried Kanoodle, FindWhat, Overture, Adwords, and Ah-Ha. On each of these I spent$50 for my test. Only one medication tested - same for each PPC. All to the same website, and that program offered me IP addresses which I manually matched back to the server records.
Ah-Ha - no sales - over 800 visitors
Kanoodle - no sales - hundreds of visitors
Overture - 11 sales
FindWhat - 2 sales
Adwords - 8 sales
I was told that FindWhat was pretty good, so I put in another $100 and tried to be more aggressive with my bids. I went through the money in three days - 3 sales. With questionable ROI and what I believe was bad traffic, I stopped.
Today, I believe that Adwords gives the best ROI.My inexperience in Adwords bidding showed in my early days. I know this is not a lot of money, but the numbers of visitors is enough to draw conclusions.

It's funny but I got a sale from Looksmart today. Talk about being surprised. I forgot that I even had an active account with them.

I got the same sort of results as Thinker - when I was firsttesting options.
That was some time ago, now Overture and Google have changed their OP policies. So testing again.
This time added 7search.
Money disappears fast on all of them unless you bid low you do not get any ROI. When you bid low the traffic is very poor. So catch 22.
However, it will be interesting to see if consumers shift to other search engines away from O and G to find more competitve OP offers?
Time will tell.

Yeah I dropped 500 and got all my clicks in 2 days.. Around 2000-3000 clicks with 0 sales.
Total BS!
