To all USAP affiliates-
As you know, one of our pharmacies, Rx Network is being investigated by the DEA. Our attorneys are working closely with investigators to put any issues to rest. We have issued the following press release at www.RxNetwork.com (http://www.RxNetwork.com) and wanted to post it here as well so that you are aware of our efforts. USAP has always operated legally and with morality regarding the rights of our patients and we will continue to do so. USAP has been investigated in the past and we have won every battle in the state courts because we operate 100% within the law. Now we must take our case to the Federal court system, where we feel very confident that we will also be successful.
Many of you have been asking about affiliate liability. In other words, can you be held responsible or be named in a lawsuit with or against an online pharmacy. This is not an easy question to answer. As an affiliate, you are an independent contractor earning commission for which you are issued an IRS form 1099 at the end of the year. You are not an employee of USAP. That said, it certainly is within the realm of possibility that an affiliate could be implicated in a lawsuit against USAP or any other online pharmacy. Has it ever happened? Not to my knowledge and never with a USAP affiliate. However, you should take the necessary steps to ensure your own legal protection. If you are concerned, you should consult your own legal counsel.
Also, don't forget that USAP offers MANY products other than prescription medications and this is a great time to remind you about the incredible market available to you. I urge you to take full advantage of it!
