Adwords is weird: how do I get more hits?

For my financial website, I use Ad words.


I had keywords at max $1 per click. Then I raised it to $1.5 in hopes of getting MORE hits. But I now get almost NO traffic. wtf


So I raised my max daily spend from $50 to $100.


Can someone gimme some tips as to how to get more hits out of Adwords? Thanx

Try making new ads to get better click through rate. You can have multiple creatives per ad group.

Google doesn't like penny pinchers. If the position 1 bid is $1.50, bid $10 with a high daily limit especially if you know that Google can't deliverthe traffic to clean you out,say a thousand dollars worth of traffic. You will still pay $1.50-$1.60 but your ad will show more often and more prominently like the top two positions in the results, not the boxes WAY over to the right. I have noticed when my ads were in the top two color bars of the listings, my clicks were tenfold over the little boxes on the right.

They also stung me for $21.24 per click on phentermine though, when I accidentaly had the max set at $25

It is definitely a hands on full time job. Too stressful for me. I gave it up. Turn your back for an hour and you could be bankrupt. Unfortunately as of late, they are not real time reporting or real time "STOP THE FRIGGING CAMPAIGN ALREADY" either
